Uncivilized Vitality with Dr. Jon Morey
Sunday Nov 22, 2020
Sunday Nov 22, 2020
What are some of the essential factors missing in our modern-day lives, and how can we look back to our ancestors to find the answers to these questions? This is the gist of the conversation I have with Dr. Jon Morey, a chiropractor physician whose interest in how the human body thrives led him to study the Hunter Gatherer way of life. From his findings he created a wellness program called Uncivilized Vitality, which reintroduces us to the ancestral knowledge and lessons we have lost since the advent of agriculture. Take a listen for some really interesting insights. Hopefully this interview helps you in your own "rewilding" journey of rediscovering our lost roots to enhance our health and happiness as we navigate a modern world and its constraints.

Is it possible to raise children emphasizing cooperation over competition? What are the effects of the constant message of competition in our culture for our children's mental health and self-confidence? How can we change the message to emphasize more cooperation, so they are better equipped to navigate a competitive world? These are some of the questions I discuss with International Team Building Coordinator and Cooperative Games expert Veronica Rikansrud.
Veronica can be reached on Instagram, where she is most active: @veronicarikansrud

Christy provides group and individual healing sessions in which she is able to identify the physical manifestations of past wounds in the body, a process that opens up the doors to a difficult but beautiful journey of self-healing.
Christy was born in South Africa and has a B.A. in Sociology from Randolph-Macon College. She has lived in the Northern Virginia area for over 20 years. Christy can be reached at BirthingNewDimensions@gmail.com .
