In this episode, I chat with fellow podcaster and holistic coach Mamoun Bennani on the topic of primal, ancestral health. We discuss his journey of looking back to find a healthier, happier life, and what were some of the factors that led him on this rewilding journey to begin with. Mamoun's coaching focuses on reintegrating ancestral diets that are particular to each individual and their ancestry, as well as a physical training approach that focuses on seven basic primal movement patterns that have been rarely practiced in our modern-day lives, but which are slowly being rediscovered and reincorporated. These movements include:
- Lunging
- Squatting
- Bending
- Rotating
- Pushing
- Pulling
- Gait
